My books have always been about younger women. They wanted to know if I would be interested in writing something like that. They were apparently having a chat one day in the office where they were talking about the fact that there just are not enough books about older women doing kick-ass things. I write for Berkley at Penguin Random House. It started with the fine folks at my publisher. They have to band together when they realize the organization they work for would rather see them dead than let them retire. Can you please tell listeners what your book is about and also what inspired you to write it?ĭeanna: Killers of a Certain Age is about four female assassins who are sixty years old. Zibby: Who knew? Frankly, even, now I'm worried about cruise ships. Zibby: I will never think about a cruise ship refrigerator the same way again.
